Simply capturing the auctioneer’s attention indicates your interest in bidding. You can raise your bid card, vocally announce your bid, or establish pre-discussed signals with the auctioneer before the event starts. Even a simple “Yes!” will suffice to place a bid. The auctioneer will make eye contact, and if a rival bid is presented, they’ll return to you to confirm your interest in bidding again.

It’s easy. To withdraw from bidding, shake your head “No” when the auctioneer makes eye contact or lower your bid card.

A competent auctioneer will be easy to comprehend. The so-called “chant” consists of numbers woven together by “filler words” to create a rhythmic, pleasing delivery. The chant informs the audience of the current bid and the subsequent bid amount. For instance, “I have $75, do I hear $100?” At our auctions, our auctioneers speak clearly at a steady pace, ensuring all customers grasp and feel comfortable with the bidding procedure. Don’t hesitate to seek clarifications about a lot or the ongoing bid.

An auction is a method of sale wherein items are presented to the public, and those interested in buying place bids. The highest bidder secures the item.

First Guaranty Credit Corp offers a diverse array of items, spanning from exquisite fine art, jewelry, and gemstones to coins, fine prints, luxurious vehicles and properties, antiques, reproductions, and more.

To ensure thorough registration and a chance to inspect all desired items, please arrive a full hour before the auction begins.

No prior experience is necessary to participate in or bid at an auction. There’s an hour designated for viewing items before the auction starts, during which customers can scrutinize lots and pose queries. Feel free to approach our friendly staff with any questions, as there are no unimportant inquiries. Just relax and enjoy the experience!

Upon purchasing an item at the auction, you become responsible for its removal. All acquired items must be taken from the auction premises on the same day. In cases where larger items require assistance, you might consider hiring a moving service. We occasionally offer a delivery service for a fee under special circumstances. For further information, please refer to the Payment and Delivery section.

While filling out a bid card, you’ll need to provide your name, address, phone number, and a valid proof of identity. Either a passport, a valid driver’s license, or a recognized government ID, along with a credit card, will suffice. Once you’ve furnished these details, you’ll receive your personal bid card.
